1.1.1. We do not service illegally derestricted e-bikes, home-built e-bikes, e-bikes with a throttle grip or eMX style bikes (such as Surron or Talaria) under any circumstances. If this case arises, the appointment will be effectively cancelled by the customer (see clause 6.1 & 6.2).
2.1. Customers must be at least 18 years old and either the owner or lawful keeper of the bicycle or e-bike.
2.2. Bookings can be made via our website, email, WhatsApp, or phone.

2.4. Customers must ensure that bicycles are clean and accessible upon the mechanic’s arrival.
2.4.1. Bicycles that are excessively dirty may incur a non-negotiable cleaning fee of £35.
2.4.2. The decision of whether the bike is in a clean enough condition to service is held at the discretion of the servicing mechanic.
2.5. Customers are required to be present at both the start and completion of the service to review, sign off and pay for the work completed.
2.6. While BikeTune makes every effort to arrive on time, unforeseen circumstances such as traffic or emergencies may cause delays. Customers will be promptly notified in such cases.
3.1. The initial diagnostic fee covers a basic assessment to evaluate required work and a safety check of the bicycle.
3.2. A transparent quote, including parts and labour, will be provided before any repair work begins
3.2.1. A 10% margin of error is included to account for minor unforeseen issues (e.g. a £100 quote may increase to £110).
3.3. Customers may decline the repair if the quote is unsatisfactory; however, the diagnostic fee remains applicable.
3.4. If additional unforeseen issues arise during the repair process, BikeTune will notify and consult with the customer before proceeding with additional work. Any budget overrun will only proceed with explicit customer agreement.
4.1. Servicing will take place at the customer’s address in BikeTune’s fully equipped workshop situated in the rear of a van.
4.1.1. In exceptional circumstances, e.g. if there is nowhere suitable to park the van to carry out the service, BikeTune may have to transport the bicycle to a suitable location to be serviced. This will only happen with explicit consent of the customer.
5.1. At minimum, a payment covering a diagnostic and safety check (£35) plus any pre-ordered parts must be made in advance via a secure paylink.
5.2. The remaining balance, including additional labour and any parts used, must be paid upon completion using a chip-and-pin/contactless card reader.
5.2.1. Alternative payment methods can be accepted but must be pre-arranged and agreed upon prior to the service date.
5.3. For special-order parts, full payment is required upfront before the order is placed. All parts remain the property of BikeTune until payment is made in full.
